I was looking through my paintings for an Art and Craft Exhibition this year. This is Fluffy a lovely stray cat that we adopted in 2023. She has a Feline Immune Virus and periodically gets ill. She is a good natured cat that loves to be brushed.
There are many layers of colour to this painting from light to dark on hot pressed paper. Before I started painting I used masking fluid for the whiskers and the reflection in her eyes. This enabled me to keep the white paper clean in those areas. I think painting should be fun and to enjoy it you should choose your subjects carefully.
